We are excited to offer our exclusive Ribbon & Star Evaluation Program for our students.
All children will receive a poster to take home to display and track their skills. The poster lists the skills that are taught in the child’s current class level. A separate curriculum and poster is provided for each level in the Junior and School Age swim programs.
Children will love getting the posters, ribbons and coloring in their stars. Parents will see how the program not only teaches their child how to swim, but also increases self-worth and self-esteem, and teaches valuable goal-setting skills. This program gives students a chance for their improvements and hard work to be recognized. Parents will be able to assist children in coloring in their stars and tracking their child’s skills online, as skills are attained.
To assure progress and success, the skills at each level have been broken down into achievable steps. Evaluations of students’ skills are ongoing. Students advance to the next level when they have mastered all the skills in their current level. Students will only be evaluated in their regularly scheduled class, not during a make-up class. Ribbons will be distributed when all skills have been achieved for a level. When the poster is filled, the child is ready to advance to the next level. Our front office will contact you to assist in moving your child to the next level.
To check your child’s progress, follow the steps below to update your child’s poster!
- Your child’s skills will be updated as they are attained. You will be able to check their skills within 48 hours of their class.
- Accelerated classes will receive their distribution within 24 hours of their last class.
